Speaker: Luisa Pires
About: Luisa is an avid teacher in Architecture, Design and Technology, Computer Science and CAD/CAM software. Her approach to teaching and Architecture is gentle and deeply engaging within the discourse of Neurodiversity in Architecture through a technological and creative lens. Avid model maker and technologist nominally in digital fabrication, tool-path programming, 3D printing, and computational design. She has lived experience with Neurodiversity and other minority groups.
Luisa will explore the PAS 6463 guidance, which is about designing a built environment for a neurodiverse society so that places are more inclusive for everybody and where they can flourish. Attention is paid specifically to sensory needs such as lighting and acoustics, wayfinding/signal, and thermal comfort. Luisa's clear approach will resonate with many who struggle to access certain buildings.
